Affinity Workforce Solutions is recruiting Teaching Assistants for specialist education settings in the London Borough of Hillingdon. These provisions support students who face significant barriers to mainstream education, including social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.
We’re working with two unique environments:
One is an Alternative Provision supporting students who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion, as well as those with medical or personal circumstances that prevent mainstream attendance.
The other is a secondary SEMH school offering a practical, enrichment-based curriculum and a restorative approach to behaviour.
These roles require resilient, compassionate, and proactive Teaching Assistants who can:
Support students with complex behavioural and emotional needs
Build strong, trusting relationships with young people
Use de-escalation techniques and restorative approaches to manage behaviour
Encourage reflection and positive decision-making
Work flexibly across different age groups and learning styles
Experience working with students who display challenging behaviour, have additional needs, or require alternative approaches to learning is highly valued.
