🔬 Inspire Through Discovery – Join Our SEMH Specialist School as a Science Teacher!

Our partnered school, part of the Cabot Learning Federation in Brockworth, is a nurturing and inclusive SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) specialist school dedicated to transforming the lives of young people through education, care, and support. We are currently seeking a passionate, resilient, and curious Science Teacher to join our team and help students explore the world around them through engaging, hands-on learning.

Your Role as a Science Teacher:

You will:

  • Deliver creative, practical, and differentiated Science lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with SEMH needs.
  • Inspire curiosity and critical thinking through experiments, investigations, and real-world applications.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students to support both academic progress and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a safe, structured, and inspiring learning environment.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and enrichment activities that promote scientific inquiry, independence, and personal growth.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A degree in a Science subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field).
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is preferred, but we also welcome applications from:
    • Unqualified teachers with strong subject knowledge and relevant experience.
    • Cover Supervisors with a Science background who are interested in progressing into teaching.
  • We value all Science specialisms – whether your passion is Biology, Chemistry, or Physics we’d love to hear from you!
  • Experience or interest in working with students with SEMH needs.
  • A calm, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching and behaviour management.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and trauma-informed practice.
