SEMH TA

SEMH Mentor required at a specialist SEMH school in Weston-Super-Mare. This is a temporary position Monday to Friday 8.30am – 4.00pm. Due to the expansion of this school there are multiple SEMH Mentor opportunities to work with on a 1-2-1 basis with KS4 students at this school in Weston-Super-Mare. There is the potential for this to become a permanent position.

The school caters for SEMH students from Years 7 to 11. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the education, personal and social progression of designated students under the direction of colleagues
• Plan and implement learning activities and teaching programs as agreed with the teacher and adjust according to student response
• Adopt relevant techniques and strategies to enable students to access the curriculum, engage with their learning and achieve their full potential
• Deliver measurable impact on student attainment as well as social and emotional well being

The ideal Mentor will be enthusiastic, resilient, highly motivated and passionate about inclusive education.
