Year 6 Teacher

Affinity Workforce Solutions are working in partnership with primary schools across Swindon to recruit enthusiastic and adaptable Year 6 Teachers to start after the October half term. As part of the White Horse Federation, these schools want to give their students the best chance of success and inspire every child to flourish through a continuous and inclusive learning pathway that empowers pupils from early years onward.

Who We’re Looking For:

• A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum, especially SATs preparation
• Someone confident, adaptable, and committed to pupil progress
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Delivering engaging, structured lessons tailored to Year 6 learning objectives
• Supporting pupils with varying abilities, including those with SEND
• Preparing pupils for assessments through targeted teaching and feedback
• Creating a calm, focused, and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborating with colleagues and contributing to whole-school life
• Promoting resilience, curiosity, and a love of learning
