Snowdon Village is a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) provision within the Cabot Learning Federation. The school supports young people who have experienced barriers to learning in mainstream settings, often due to behavioural, emotional, or social challenges.
Snowdon Village provides a structured, nurturing, and therapeutic environment, focused on helping students re-engage with education, develop emotional resilience, and build positive, lasting relationships. The approach combines academic learning with strong pastoral support, enabling students to grow in confidence, improve their behaviour, and prepare for success both in school and within the wider community.
We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Youth Outreach Mentor to join the team at Snowdon Village.
This role focuses on supporting students with SEMH needs, helping them to regulate emotions, improve behaviour, and re-engage with education. You will work closely with students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, both within the school environment and through targeted outreach and pastoral interventions.
As a Youth Outreach Mentor, you will play a key role in building trusted relationships, acting as a consistent and positive role model, and supporting young people with their personal development, engagement, and wellbeing. The role requires a proactive, calm, and empathetic approach when working with students who may present with challenging behaviours.
