Affinity Workforce is working with this large secondary school in the Corby area to recruit a Maths specialist to join them for a long-term post. For the right candidate this could lead to a permanent opportunity. This is an excellent school with outstanding facilities.

 

The school is an above averaged sized and includes a small sixth form and has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted. It has a growing number of pupils on its roll and the proportion of disadvantaged pupils is above average. Feedback from the teachers and support staff is always positive.

Requirements of the candidate:

  • A passionate and driven attitude for Education
  • Outstanding classroom management and inter-personal skills
  • Excellent knowledge of the curriculum guidance for KS3-5 Maths
  • Qualified Teacher Status

 

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons
  • Ensure effective teaching of whole classes, groups and individuals, establishing high expectations of behaviour and attainment, so that teaching objectives are met
  • Mark and monitor work and homework, providing constructive feedback and setting targets for future progress
  • Working closely with and teaching staff and members of the school community
