Science Teacher

£120 – £200 per day

 

Hours of work: Full Time Permanent

 

Start date: September 2023

 

We are recruiting for Science Teachers to join a successful department of 11-19 year old Secondary school in Corby, Northamptonshire. The mission is to give every child attending school a world-class education. The Teacher of Science role is an important one. We seek someone who believes in the power of knowledge to transform lives, and who is driven by evidence informed ‘best bets’ about curriculum and pedagogy.

 

The school is an above averaged sized and includes a small sixth form and has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted. It has a growing number of pupils on its roll and the proportion of disadvantaged pupils is above average. Feedback from the teachers and support staff is always positive.

 

To apply you will need the following;

  • Qualified Science Teacher will also consider ECT’s.
  • Good classroom management and behaviour skills
  • Able to teach KS3, KS4 and KS5 Science, A level experience would be advantageous but not essential
  • Safeguarding Level 1 (Monarch can provide training)
  • To recognise all teachers can get better and consciously work to improve.
  • Understanding of current curriculum issues in relation to teaching subject/s.
  • Able to effectively and appropriately use resources to enact the curriculum well.
  • Be flexible and responsive to a changing educational environment.
