Building a sustainable future

We recently partnered with TEMWA to be part of the fight against climate change, making Affinity a more sustainable place to work. The team have assessed the amount of carbon we are using as a business and have built a strategy with us on how to combat this and make changes to our working life.

We work with TEMWA, a charity in Malawi, planting trees for every ton of carbon we reduce. This allows communities to thrive off their own land and be more sustainable.

Mental health is important

At Affinity, we believe everyone’s mental health is just as important as their physical health. As part of our commitment to our employees’ wellbeing, we have appointed Mental Health First Aiders (MHFA) across our organisation. They provide support to individuals who are experiencing poor mental health and/or emotional distress.

Our MHFAs have completed a recognised, accredited training course by MHFA England to equip them with the knowledge to help someone recover their health by guiding them to further support, whether through self-help resources, the employer, or the NHS.

Our MHFAs are not qualified therapists or psychiatrists, but are there to provide non-judgemental listening and guidance to our employees.
