Our training portfolio has been thoughtfully curated to meet your needs. Candidates have access to comprehensive training modules such as Teaching Assistant Toolkits, Safeguarding Refresher Training, SEND, Primary National Curriculum, and Behaviour Toolkits.

 

AWS employees, on the other hand, can explore a broad range of training programs, including GDPR, Leadership, Candidate Management, Business Development, and Sales.

SEND & The 121 TA role

 

This online training session is aimed at teaching assistants and offers an overview of the qualities, knowledge and skills required to support pupils within mainstream and special educational needs settings.

 

The course will cover a range of topics including personal and professional conduct, how to support learning, roles and responsibilities of TAs, working with others and strategies to enhance student achievement and managing behaviour.

 

This online training session will held on Tuesday 30th July at 10:00 am.

Teaching in a UK school

 

This training is designed for staff arriving into the UK. It’s aimed for teachers and teaching assistants looking to gain experience working across schools in the UK. We will share essential knowledge to help you feel more prepared and confident going into schools for the first time.

 

The training course will cover: Structure and organisation including term dates & staffing, Types of schools in the UK, National Curriculum Expectations, Support with planning and resources, Classroom Management, and more.

Supporting Graduates into a Career in Education

 

This training session will offer advice and support if you are a graduate thinking of moving into education. We will look at the various routes you can take, from volunteer work, to support staff through to fully qualified teacher status. We shall look at what may be expected of you when working with children and also skills that would be beneficial to your role. Finally, a great place to start is working through an agency where we can find you suitable roles but also continue to support you through ongoing CPD.

ECT Summer Skills Camp

 

We are providing a comprehensive mentoring and training plan to give you all the tools to succeed in the next steps of your career. The ECT Summer Skills Camp will comprise of 3 training sessions including:

 

Tuesday 6th August – Navigating your first year as an ECT

 

Tuesday 20th August – Planning and Organisation

 

Tuesday 27th August – Application Forms and Interviewing

Affinity Workforce have partnered with Candidate Go to offer all our candidates free, online courses to support them in their roles. The portal offers 22 optional courses that will benefit your classroom knowledge and skills. You will be able to see all the courses you have completed. Once you have completed the training, there will be an option to download a certificate.

 

How can I access the training?

 

Your consultant will send you a link to the portal, which will enable you to add your name and email address. Once you have inputted this information, you will have access to all the courses and can start your online training.

Meet Emma Ford, an experienced educational leader in the primary sector. With over a decade of experience in challenging schools, Emma is passionate about creating school cultures centered around values and has expertise in providing bespoke provision for complex children.

 

Emma excels in developing leaders through coaching and strategic professional development. With extensive experience in training delivery across the country, she is well-versed in supporting families within safeguarding. She has worked across the country supporting schools with a wide range of themes including self-evaluation, curriculum development, coaching and induction programmes.
