Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs?
We are working with a highly regarded and high-achieving primary school in the Bristol area, known for its strong values, inclusive ethos, and high expectations for both staff and pupils. The school is seeking a committed SEND Teaching Assistant to provide ad hoc and short-term support within their supportive and structured environment.
The Role
- Provide targeted support to pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
- Work closely with class teachers to deliver tailored interventions and support strategies
- Help create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
- Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs where required
- Adapt to the needs of individual pupils and work across different year groups if needed
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working with children with SEND (in a school or similar setting)
- A patient, nurturing and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive attitude and ability to use initiative
- Commitment to upholding high expectations for pupil progress and behaviour
