Affinity Workforce is seeking a dedicated Autism Support Workert to join a welcoming Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in the Luton area.
This school provides individualised support to pupils with a wide range of SEND needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, cerebral palsy, and behaviours that challenge.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide classroom support to pupils with SEND, ensuring their learning and wellbeing needs are met.
- Assist with personal care in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Support students during meal times and throughout the school day.
- Help with physical needs, including safe moving and handling.
- Promote independence and encourage positive social interactions.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
Who We’re Looking For
- Individuals with experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
- Confidence in providing personal care and managing challenging behaviours.
- A caring, patient, and proactive approach.
- Previous experience in a school or care setting is desirable.

Role Details
- Full-time and part-time, Monday to Friday, 08:30-15:30 (term time only)
- Immediate start
- Ongoing position with potential for permanent placement
- Subject to referencing and enhanced DBS checks (including adult and child barred lists)
