As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of complex physical, medical, and learning needs, ensuring they can access high-quality education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work under the direction of the class teacher to implement activities and interventions tailored to pupils’ personal needs.
- Manage pupil behaviour in line with school policy.
- Provide general classroom support, assisting with organisation and management.
- Help create and maintain a purposeful, orderly, and supportive learning environment.
- Promote inclusion, ensuring equal opportunities for all pupils to learn and develop.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with pupils, treating them with respect and consideration.
- Collaborate with families and external agencies to ensure every pupil is valued, challenged, and supported.
- Maintain the highest expectations for sustained academic and personal progress.
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people within the school.
