The school specialises in supporting students with a wide range of Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Role Responsibilities:
As a Nurture Teacher, you will:
- Deliver a well-planned, sequenced curriculum tailored to individual needs and strengths, preparing students for adulthood.
- Create a safe, supportive, and nurturing classroom environment that promotes emotional well-being and positive relationships.
- Take responsibility for classroom management, including supporting and line-managing class staff (with training provided).
- Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress, adapting strategies to meet individual needs.
- Support communication development using methods such as Makaton, AAC, verbal and non-verbal strategies.
- Provide a range of experiences to help learners generalise and maintain skills in real-life contexts.
- Promote opportunities for social interaction, building confidence, resilience, and social skills.
- Engage in planning, marking, and attending staff meetings as part of the wider school team.
