Affinity Partnerships are working in collaboration with a primary school in Taunton who are looking for a Part-Time Class Teacher and SENCO.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Class Teacher who will also take on the key role of SENDCO (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator). This is a fantastic opportunity to combine outstanding classroom teaching with leading inclusive practices to help every child succeed.

Alongside teaching, you’ll oversee the SEND Code of Practice, including EHCP and EHNA provisions, ensuring compliance with statutory guidance and supporting pupils with additional needs.

The successful applicant:

  • Qualified Teachers Status
  • Have a sound understanding of Primary Education
  • Have excellent literacy, Numeracy, and communication skills
  • Have confidence supporting the KS1 and KS2 curriculum
  • Have experience of supporting children in all aspects of the curriculum
  • Will be a team player, as well as using their initiative and good sense of humour
  • Have experience of working with children with a range of additional needs including Autism, Speech and language difficulties and other SEND students, both in smalls groups and 1:1.
  • Have a positive approach and be flexible to the demands of the job.
