2024 has been an exhilarating year for Learning and Development at Affinity Workforce! Having only introduced the Learning department in September 2023, I am incredibly proud of the opportunities that have been created for both our candidates and internal staff within such a short space of time.

 

Since January, we’ve hosted 24 online training sessions on Affinity Academy, thanks to the incredible support and content from Emma Ford and Caterina Bellevia.

 

These sessions have been invaluable for graduates, overseas education staff, teachers, and teaching assistants, covering a wide range of topics to enhance our workforce’s skills. This ensures we continue to provide high-quality candidates who add value to our loyal client schools and deliver exceptional education to the next generation.

To support our new and developing consultants, we launched the 100 Day Club. This initiative helps them learn the ropes of education recruitment, sales, and recruitment skills, laying a strong foundation for a successful career at Affinity Workforce.

 

In February, we kicked off our Leadership Training with the help of Howard Greenwood. This fantastic opportunity brought together Affinity leaders across all four brands, aligning our values and goals as a management team.

Affinity Link Platform

 

 

May saw the launch of our internal learning platform, Affinity Link, in collaboration with Thrive. This has been our most exciting project to date, providing a centralised hub for our internal systems, processes, policies, and learning resources.

 

It has fostered a shared community and a space for our teams to share and celebrate. We have many more exciting plans for 2025 that we can’t wait to share with you.

 

Our new platform launch also introduced a comprehensive induction programme for new starters, ensuring they have the best opportunity to succeed from day one. This was followed by the launch of our Intranet in September.

October marked the launch of our first-ever AWS Mentoring Scheme. This initiative offers aspiring leaders the chance to learn about the foundations of leadership and influence others within the business by supporting their mentees and sharing their knowledge and tips.

 

In November, we introduced our first Lunch and Learn series. These weekly online webinars provide valuable information on topics such as well-being, education trends, and top tips. In 2025, we plan to include guest speakers, management tools and resources.

Reflecting on the Past Year

 

 

2024 has been a year of personal growth for myself.

 

I love working across all our brands and locations, and feel extremely lucky to work with great people, in a company that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

 

The support and opportunities provided have truly helped me thrive both professionally and personally.

 

I’m excited to see what 2025 has in store!
