Affinity Tutors is an online home tuition platform for students of all ages and abilities across the UK. Whether it’s one-to-one or group sessions, our qualified tutors can help students reach their full potential. Our unique, custom built platform allows both parents and students to communicate effectively with their chosen tutor, using interactive whiteboards and live video chat.

We have a range of fully qualified teachers on our platform, specialising in a range of subjects and age groups. All tutors are registered with Affinity Workforce, a regulated company with a Gold Standard in Safeguarding.

How does it work?

The system allows flexible one-to-one and group sessions, so you can book lessons to fit around you. Live video chat allows students and tutors to talk freely and the interactive whiteboards allow co-viewing and co-editing of resources, including diagrams, notes and questions.

You are also able to share files easily and can work through questions together, live on screen. Our classrooms are set up automatically and run through an internet browser, so there’s nothing to install. All you need is a laptop or desktop computer, a webcam and a good internet connection.

Our system is fully secure and all user activity is tracked. The system has everything you need. Not only is it a platform for our online classrooms, but you can also manage your bookings, calendar, payments and billings all in one place.

How much does it cost?

The pricing varies depending on the tutor. We are transparent about the costs; every tutor will display their hourly rate and the length of the session will be visible on their profile.

Users will be able to add credit to their account before the lesson, using a debit or credit card. After the session, the correct amount of credit is automatically transferred to the tutor. The student can top up credit anytime on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Free trial

Users can search our UK based tutors and contact them to arrange a free trial lesson. Most tutors choose to offer a free trial for new students. This allows the opportunity for tutors, students and parents to meet in the online Tutor Room to discuss tutoring requirements, ask questions and experience an online lesson.

Tutors who offer a free trial will advertise this on their profile. To request a free trial, simply send your chosen tutor a message.
