Learning Support Mentor

Affinity Workforce are currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants for vacancies we have available immediately in Weston-super-Mare. We seek to place Successful candidates will earn a minimum of £90 a day.

What you will need to succeed:

We would be particularly keen to speak with you if you’re currently working within SEND.

The ideal Learning Support Mentor should:

• Have experience working as an Key Stage 1 or 2 Class Teaching Assistant or SEND environment
• Be flexible and patient.
• Be able to communicate effectively within a team
• Be able to work 8.30am-3.30pm

The ideal candidate for this role will hold / be confident in the following:

• Encourage the pupil to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.
• Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence.
• Provide feedback to the pupil in relation to progress and achievement under guidance of the teacher.
• Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment, in accordance with the lesson plans and assist with the display of the pupils work.
• Use strategies, in liaison with the teacher, to support the pupil to achieve learning goals targets/appropriate to EYFS.
