Outreach Support Worker

Do you drive and have experience supporting individuals that can find it difficult to build social and emotional relationships?
In recent years there is a massive focus on supporting the mental health of pupils who have been impacted by adverse childhood experiences. We are currently seeking practitioners to support these SEMH pupils on a 1:1 basis in group of schools in the St George and Kingswood areas of Bristol.
As a Youth Outreach Support Worker, you will be involved in not only supporting pupils within the educational setting but will also be comfortable with running activities with the pupils outside the classroom, taking them out in the community for outreach and running activities with them. Alongside other mentors and teachers, you will also provide support with ensuring the right support is in place for the students.
This position is on a full-time basis and full support and guidance will be given. There will also be opportunities to complete additional training whilst in the role. The hours are 8.30am – 3.30pm Monday to Friday and the rate of pay is £100 per day.
**It is essential that you can drive and have access to your own vehicle for this role as you will be required to collect and drop of the student to their home every day**
This would be a great opportunity for someone that has experience supporting pupils in school or an alternative setting. We will also be consider people who haven’t previously worked in a school setting but has experience of supporting children with SEMH or children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
