Our mission is to ensure every child has the support they need to thrive, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We are currently looking for a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team immediately and make a positive impact on our students’ learning journeys.

Role Overview:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and class teachers to support students with a variety of learning needs. You will help create an inclusive and nurturing environment that allows every child to flourish academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support for students with special educational needs, including those with autism, dyslexia, and physical or emotional disabilities.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of differentiated lessons.
  • Support students with personal care where required, following safeguarding guidelines.
  • Encourage positive behavior and provide emotional support to students.
  • Collaborate with class teachers to adapt lesson plans and materials to meet the needs of individual learners.
  • Help track student progress and provide feedback to the SENCo and class teacher.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.

About You:

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and making a difference in their lives.
  • Experienced in working with children, ideally in a school setting (experience working with SEN is desirable but not essential).
  • Patient, empathetic, and able to build positive relationships with students.
  • Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to different teaching methods and learning environments.
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant qualification in education (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification) is desirable, but not essential.
  • A commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
