We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced SENDCO to join their dedicated team.
Role Overview: As the SENDCO, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that students with special educational needs and disabilities receive the support they need to thrive. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement effective strategies and interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the provision for students with SEND across the school.
- Develop and implement the school’s SEND policy and procedures.
- Coordinate and oversee the assessment and identification of students with SEND.
- Work collaboratively with teachers to plan and deliver personalized learning plans.
- Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEND provision and make necessary adjustments.
- Provide training and support to staff on SEND-related matters.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a recognised SENDCO qualification.
- Proven experience in a SENDCO role or similar position.
- Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
