The Academy is a vibrant and inclusive school committed to providing a high-quality education for all students. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to support our key students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in Key Stage 3 and 4.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with individual students, providing them with the support and encouragement they need to succeed academically and socially. Your responsibilities will include:
- Working one-to-one with students with SEMH needs, providing academic and emotional support
- Assisting with classroom activities and interventions
- Supporting students to develop their social skills and emotional well-being
- Communicating with teachers and other professionals to ensure the best possible support for students
- Attending regular team meetings and professional development opportunities
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A passion for working with young people and a genuine interest in supporting students with SEMH needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude
- A strong understanding of child development and safeguarding
