We are looking for an experienced Primary Teacher to join our team and work with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) full time within the BS16 area.
Affinity Workforce Solutions work with The Cabot Learning Federation. We are their managed servicer provider and look after their short term and long term supply needs.
The successful candidate for this role will provide high-quality teaching and support to students with a range of needs, including Autism, sensory impairments, SEMH and learning difficulties.
The class will be of around 5-10 pupils and the Teacher with be supported with numerous HLTA’s and Learning Mentors throughout the day.
Term time only- 08:30- 15:30
Pay rate- £130-£145 per day
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver lessons in a variety of subjects, using a range of teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse needs of students with SEND
- Adapt lesson plans to accommodate individual students’ needs and learning styles
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEND, as needed
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching students with SEND, preferably in an educational setting
- Knowledge of SEND and experience with a variety of needs and disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to helping students reach their full potential
- Ability to adapt to the unique needs of each student and provide individualized support
