Locations:

• Tiffield Academy, Tiffield (Towcester) – Specialist all‑through SEND school for ages 4-18, supporting pupils with Autism (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN).
• Purple Oaks Academy, Northampton – Specialist all‑through provision for 3-18-year-olds, supporting pupils with Autism and/or Severe Learning Difficulties, part of Greenwood Academies Trust.

Both academies are part of the Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT), a large multi‑academy trust committed to providing high‑quality education across the region.

✨ About the Role

As a TLSA, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with complex additional needs. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting children with ASD, SLD, and communication needs in both small‑group and one‑to‑one settings
• Assisting the class teacher with delivering personalised learning programmes
• Promoting emotional regulation, communication skills, and independence (key priorities at Purple Oaks)
• Helping create a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment
• Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, external professionals, and parents
• Supporting sensory‑based and specialist interventions (e.g., sensory rooms, calm rooms, therapy rooms -available at Tiffield Academy)

We are seeking individuals who:

• Have experience supporting children or young people with SEND, especially ASD and SLD
• Demonstrate patience, empathy, resilience, and emotional intelligence
• Can follow structured learning plans and behaviour strategies
• Are eager to support communication needs, including non‑verbal pupils
• Thrive in a highly collaborative, child‑centred environment
