Affinity Workforce is working in partnership with schools and Multi Academy Trusts in Reading, and we are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEND Teachers to support pupils with a range of additional needs.

We have a high demand for staff, offering both flexible day‑to‑day cover and longer‑term teaching placements. Whether you’re looking for immediate work, consistent bookings, or a long‑term SEND teaching role starting immediately or from September 2026, we can help find the right opportunity for you.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering tailored lessons to meet the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
  • Planning and adapting learning activities in line with EHCPs and individual support plans
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Managing behaviour effectively and supporting emotional regulation
  • Working closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and other professionals
  • Monitoring and reporting on pupil progress and development
  • Following school policies on safeguarding, behaviour, and health & safety

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (preferred)
  • Experience supporting or teaching pupils with SEND (essential)
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
