We are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient Behavioural Teaching Assistant to join a challenging but rewarding mainstream primary school in South Bristol from September.

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting pupils with behavioural needs and are committed to creating a positive, structured learning environment where every child can succeed.

As a Behavioural Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils who may present with:

  • Challenging behaviour
  • Social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs
  • Barriers to learning that require additional pastoral support

You will work closely with teaching staff and the wider pastoral team to:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support
  • Implement behaviour strategies and personalised support plans
  • Help pupils regulate emotions and engage positively in learning
  • Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Support the delivery of lessons and classroom activities
