CER Education Recruitment (part of Affinity Workforce Solutions) are a leading Education Recruitment provider specialising in temporary staffing for Primary, Secondary and Special Educational Needs schools.

We have an exciting opportunity to add to our high-performing team, specialising in SEN Recruitment in our growing York City Centre Office. You will join a small but exciting team, with fantastic collaborative links with wider regional teams in Darlington and Newcastle. CER have a fantastic reputation, coupled with great market-presence, which will allow the successful applicant to have the opportunity to really grow and develop with the business.

We are therefore seeking an ambitious, and pro-active individual to further increase our market-share and to continue our first-class delivery of specialist Educators and Support Staff to support schools in York and surrounding areas. This is a hugely exciting opportunity for an ambitious; results-driven and customer-focused individual to join us!

The role & benefits at CER Education:

  • Office Location: East Coast House, 25 Skeldergate, York YO1 6DH
  • Monday to Friday 07:15 – 17:15 (Term Time), 08:00 – 14:00 (School Holidays)
  • Hybrid / Work from Home available after initial training and inductions
  • Base Salary: £30,000 -£34,500 and uncapped commission structure

Role responsibilities:

  • Manage the end‑to‑end recruitment process for education-based roles across Yorkshire.
  • Build and nurture long-lasting client relationships, ensuring excellent service delivery.
  • Proactively engage in business development to establish new partnerships with schools and academies.
  • Identify and attract high-quality candidates for education positions through various sourcing methods.
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships through both face-to-face and remote interactions.
  • Demonstrate a high level of motivation and take ownership of your desk, treating it as your own mini business.
  • Showcase your drive to succeed and build a thriving career within the education recruitment sector.

What are we looking for?

  • Recruitment experience is essential (education recruitment is a bonus).
  • Proven ability to win, retain, and grow clients through proactive business development.
  • Strong candidate generation skills with a focus on quality and compliance.
  • A sales‑driven mindset with a desire to exceed targets.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
