About the Role

This is a varied and rewarding role for a confident HR professional who enjoys building strong relationships, managing complex casework and influencing positive organisational change.

Working closely with the Head of People and school leaders, you will:

  • Lead on disciplinary, grievance, capability, sickness absence and restructuring casework.
  • Provide expert HR advice and guidance to leaders and managers.
  • Support and improve recruitment processes across our schools.
  • Lead the ongoing implementation and development of the MyNewTerm recruitment platform.
  • Analyse workforce data and provide meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Support organisational development, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Deliver HR training and ensure compliance with employment legislation and safeguarding requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the Trust People Plan.

About You

We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR professional who can combine operational excellence with a collaborative and people-focused approach.

You will have:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience).
  • Significant experience managing complex employee relations casework.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience advising leaders and managers on a wide range of HR matters.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and report-writing skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
  • A commitment to staff wellbeing, inclusion and continuous improvement.

Desirable

  • CIPD Level 7 qualification.
  • Experience within education, academy trusts or maintained schools.
  • Safer Recruitment qualification.
  • Experience supporting organisational change and restructuring projects.
