Affinity Workforce Solutions are looking to recruit Autism Support Workers to work within a Special Education Needs School in the Morden area The school caters for pupils with SEND with a wide range of needs, aged between 4-11. These needs include Speech, Language and Communication needs, and may also include Autism Spectrum Conditions
The role will be to provide personal care, assist with supporting mealtimes and other physical support needs such as assisting with moving and handling requirements. As an Autism Support Worker it is essential that you are able to provide support to maintain the students dignity and Independence at all times, have an encouraging nature and be able to maintain positive relationships with students and staff.
The centre offers an exceptional learning environment for pupils, which is specially adapted to meet the needs of the children. This includes safe and stimulating classrooms, play areas, both indoors and outside, and specialist facilities including therapy and sensory areas.

The role is full time, working Mon to Friday 08:30 to 15:30 term time only starting ASAP. This is ongoing, and could lead to a permanent post for candidates who get on well in post. Successful applicants will be subject to referencing and DBS checks, including both adult and child barred list checks.
