Salary: From £162 day to £251 per day paid to scale

Hours: Monday to Friday, between 8:15am to 3:15pm (part-time would also be considered)

Starting date: 22nd of April until 22nd of July.

Responsibilities:

• Create lesson plans aligned with the national curriculum for Key Stage 3 and 4 classes.
• Teaching drama in line with curriculum standards and preparing students for crucial exams.
• Supervising rehearsals and assisting with school plays or productions.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment with effective behavior management.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to staff meetings and administrative tasks.
• Organising and accompanying students on theatre trips or extracurricular activities related to drama.
• Support students’ personal growth, encouraging independent research and teamwork.

What we are looking for:

• Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively engage students.
• Creativity and enthusiasm to inspire a love for drama and performing arts.
• Excellent classroom management to maintain a safe and inclusive environment.
• Organizational skills to plan lessons and manage productions.
• In-depth knowledge of drama techniques, theatre history, and curriculum requirements.
• Experience in directing or participating in theatrical productions and working with young people will be preferable
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a solid background in drama or performing art will desirable.
