Our Ofsted Outstanding partnered school, Briarwood School, is looking for a committed and organised HR Administrator to join their Juniors site on a temporary‑to‑permanent basis. This role focuses on recruitment and safer‑recruitment processes, supporting the school as we continue to grow our team. The role is full time, but we are open to considering reduced hours for the right person. Working hours are likely to be either 8:00-16:00 or 9:00-16:00, though this will be confirmed.

The school is also entering a period of growth, including the opening of a brand‑new Briarwood school in South Bristol which is a fantastic chance to be part of something new and forward‑thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the full recruitment journey from vacancy creation to onboarding

  • Drafting and publishing job adverts across relevant platforms

  • Managing applications and maintaining timely, professional communication with candidates

  • Arranging interviews and supporting hiring managers throughout the selection process

  • Completing pre‑employment checks, including references and DBS

  • Preparing, organising and maintaining recruitment and onboarding paperwork

  • Ensuring all recruitment records are accurate, compliant and up to date

  • Providing general HR administrative support to the wider team

  • Strong administrative skills and excellent attention to detail

  • A calm, friendly and professional approach

  • Experience in HR or recruitment (helpful but not essential with the right skills and attitude)

  • Confident communication with a wide range of people

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines

  • A commitment to safeguarding and safer recruitment practices
