Recruitment Consultant – CER Education

Location: Sheffield (city centre office)
Salary: up to £30,000 + excellent bonus / commission schemes.
Contract Type: Full-time / Permanent.
Hours: 07:15-17:15 (term time) and 09:00-14:00 (school holidays).

The Role

As a specialist Education Recruiter, you’ll play an integral role in working with schools and candidates in your local area to deliver first class recruitment services. You’ll work closely with the wider high-performing CER Team in Sheffield to ensure every client’s needs are met and educators feels valued, supported, and ready to thrive in their new role.

Key Responsibilities

· Client engagement & management – work closely with schools in your local area to understand and support their staffing requirements.

· Business Development – engage with both new and existing schools to enhance your relationship with them, and to drive new business activity.

· Candidate Management – build strong relationships with candidates throughout their recruitment journey and to be proactive in your recruitment and selection process.

· Conduct onboarding calls, compliance checks, and regular welfare check-ins

· Manage client and candidate queries with empathy and efficiency

· Coordinate interviews, feedback, and placement logistics

· Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safeguarding standards

· Support marketing and engagement campaigns to attract top talent

· Provide excellent customer service to both your clients and candidates.

· To work collaboratively with your colleagues across the wider office and region

What We’re Looking For

· Experience in either a sales or customer-facing role previously.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – demonstrating a real passion for people!

· A genuine passion for the education sector and desire to want to embark on a successful career in Recruitment.

· Organised, proactive, and detail-oriented

· Resilience! Demonstrate your tenacity and ambition to succeed.

· Strong administrative skills.

· Proficient in Microsoft packages and previous experience working on internal database systems / CRM systems is also desirable.
