Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, tailored to the national curriculum and student needs.
  • Foster curiosity and critical thinking, encouraging students to ask questions, explore ideas, and develop a love for scientific discovery.
  • Use practical experiments and demonstrations to bring science to life in the classroom.
  • Assess student progress through formative and summative methods, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Create a safe and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and motivated.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular links, share best practices, and contribute to whole-school initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with developments in science education and integrate innovative teaching strategies and technologies.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Has a strong subject knowledge and a passion for science education.
  • Is confident teaching across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable).
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Is committed to continuous professional development and student success.
