Our parternered school is dedicated to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment for all our students. They are looking for a Teacher to support their children with profound and multiple learning disabilities, ensuring they receive the highest quality education tailored to their individual needs.

Job Description: We are currently recruiting for a PMLD Class Teacher. You will be relentless in achieving high standards during the students’ crucial foundation years and onto their next steps. We offer a comprehensive induction programme and ongoing training to ensure everyone has the best possible start to their employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of each student.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other professionals.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to support students’ learning and development.
  • Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing regular feedback to parents and carers.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and other staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience in a similar background (desirable).
  • Have experience with family or friends with disabilities such as Autism (ASC) (desirable).
  • Show resilience and confidence in working with challenging behaviour.
  • Be able to work 1:1 or 2:1 with some students, providing them the time and support they need to learn.
  • Demonstrate strong behavioural management skills.
  • Have a strong willingness to learn and expand their skillset within this sector.
  • Be energetic and enthusiastic with a commitment to inclusion.
  • Be proactive and adaptable.
