SEN Teaching Assistant

Affinity Workforce Solutions is proud to be recruiting on behalf of an Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Special Needs School, seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join their exceptional team.

This rewarding opportunity is based in the BS4 area, supporting children with severe and profound disabilities. As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping students flourish during their formative years and beyond-providing care, encouragement, and tailored support to meet their individual needs. The school caters for children of a secondary age group working on a primary curriculum.

The role is a full- time position and the hours of the roles are 8.45-3.45.

About the Students

Our pupils have a range of needs, including:

• Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
• Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
• Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• Complex Needs

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

• Has experience in a similar role or with individuals with disabilities (desirable)
• Is confident working with challenging behaviour
• Can provide 1:1 or 2:1 support tailored to individual needs
• Demonstrates strong behaviour management and communication skills
• Is proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic
• Is committed to inclusion and continuous learning
