We’re recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils in a range of supportive and welcoming schools across Bridgwater. Ideal for caring, patient individuals with experience working with children or young people with additional needs.
About the Role
- Provide 1:1 or small‑group support to pupils with special educational needs
- Assist with learning, communication, and emotional regulation
- Support classroom routines and help create a nurturing learning environment
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to meet individual needs
Requirements
- Experience supporting children or young people (school, SEN, care, youth work, etc.)
- Calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
- Right to work in the UK
