These settings are now seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their teams.
This rewarding role involves supporting children across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in both mainstream and SEN environments. You’ll play a key part in helping pupils thrive academically, socially, and emotionally by providing tailored support, encouragement, and structure throughout the school day.
Every child is unique, and your approach will be adapted to meet their individual needs. You’ll work closely with Class Teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to help pupils achieve their learning goals through 1:1 support, small‑group interventions, and in‑class assistance.
Supporting teachers with daily classroom routines and learning activities
Providing 1:1 and small‑group support to help pupils progress
Encouraging engagement, confidence, and independence in learning
Assisting with behaviour support and emotional regulation
Helping maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
Supporting pupils with SEN, including communication, sensory, or learning needs
Contributing to observations and feedback to the teaching team
Passionate about supporting children’s learning and wellbeing
Confident supporting behaviour and emotional needs
Comfortable leading small groups or stepping in when needed
Patient, resilient, and calm under pressure
Friendly, approachable, and committed to inclusive education
Awareness or experience of supporting children with SEN

Experience supporting learning in a school or childcare setting
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, CACHE, or equivalent)

Enhanced DBS (Affinity Workforce can assist with this)
