We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join an experienced Reception Class team at a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bristol.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

• Support the class teacher in delivering a rich, engaging and inclusive Early Years curriculum.
• Foster positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Encourage children’s independence, confidence and curiosity through play-based learning.
• Provide targeted support for individuals and small groups.
• Help create a calm, stimulating and well-organised learning environment.
• Support children’s personal, social and emotional development.
• Contribute to assessment observations and learning records where required.
• Promote high standards of behaviour, wellbeing and safeguarding.

To be successful, you will:

• Has experience working with young children, ideally within an Early Years setting.
• Has a good understanding of child development and the EYFS framework.
• Is patient, nurturing and enthusiastic.
• Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Demonstrates a commitment to inclusion and ensuring every child can succeed.
• Is proactive, adaptable and willing to contribute to school life.
• Holds a relevant childcare or teaching assistant qualification (desirable).
