Affinity Partnerships are working in partnership with the Cabot Learning Federation to recruit a full-time Senior Premises Assistant for a busy and thriving academy setting.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and proactive individual to play a key role in the smooth running of a large site. Working closely with the Premises Manager, you will support all aspects of site management, helping to maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment for staff, students and visitors.

The role offers variety and responsibility, with the opportunity to deputise for the Premises Manager when required, supporting and guiding the premises team while promoting a strong health & safety culture across the academy. This role is a permanent position.

The successful applicant:

  • Have experience of managing sites or working within facilities management
  • Have experience of preparing risk assessments
  • Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Be able to work to deadlines while remaining flexible and adaptable to deal with ad hoc issues
  • Have experience of inducting, working with and supervising contractors
  • Have the ability to source suppliers and negotiate best value for money
  • Have experience of carrying out planned preventative maintenance
  • Have an understanding of site-related reports (e.g. asbestos, Health & Safety audits, Fire Risk Assessments, Water Risk Assessments)
  • Have good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Be a team player, with the ability to take initiative and lead when required
