A background in sports coaching, mentoring, youth work, or similar roles would be a significant advantage, as these skills can be invaluable when building relationships, promoting engagement, and supporting positive behaviour within the classroom.
The Role
- Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities, including those with SEN.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies to support pupil success.
- Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
- Support the academic, social, and emotional development of students.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- ECTs and Newly Qualified Teachers are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience working with SEN pupils is desirable.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A flexible, positive, and proactive approach to teaching.
- Sports coaching, mentoring, or youth work experience is beneficial.
